Vacation with pet
You’ve decided to go on a vacation, but don’t know what to do with your pet? Bring it with you or leave it to your relatives and friends or in a pet hotel?
We’re trying to offer an increasing selection of accommodation facilities where you can bring your pet as well. This way, both you and your pet(s) can enjoy the vacation together.
The stay of your pet(s) is only allowed in those accommodation facilities where it’s explicitly stated, and it’s usually charged as extra. In most cases, this comes down to one pet, so you’ll need to inform us of any additional pet so that we can further notify the owner.
Croatia has a growing trend in dog-friendly beaches. The number of beaches where you can bring your four-legged friend with you is ever growing. You’ll find one of those beaches in every part of Croatia, regardless whether you vacation in Istria, Kvarner or Dalmatia. There are numerous wild beaches where you can go swimming with your pet as well.
Of course, vacationing with your pet requires additional preparation, from the travel, food and pet care. The necessary documents are – passport and vaccination data. Vets recommend examination before the journey and if your pet has specific fare issues, ask your vet to support the medications that’ll help it get through this.
You should also supply them with enough water and food during the ride and even during the vacation. When you arrive at your destination, you should ask where the vet is located, just in case you need it. You should also always carry a leash with you and be aware if pets are allowed or not in certain parts. Traveling with pets can be stressful, especially if it’s your first time, but it’s worth it because not only you’ll be enjoying the vacation, but your pets as well.
